Just wondering what everyone thinks of my poetry.
Poetry: Reflections
02.22.04 (7:06 am)   [edit]
Reflect by a lake and ponder on the moment,
Grasp the sound of birds and wind, put them in your pockets,
Borrow the evening and leave it back when you’re done,
Signal for the pinnacle of morning for beyond it there is a story.

Shelter yourself from the bitter cold and stop the minute,
Hang the stars in the sky and walk into a cave of trees,
The gentle wind hugs you and kisses your face, the smell is serene,
It flickers a candle behind your emerald eyes.

Reminisce of the sirens outside your three-year-old window,
The lights outside consume you, and appreciate your taste,
The planets spin in unison above the smoky rooftops,
And all the strangers outside serenade you for tomorrow.

Don’t pine for the jewel of youth, there is a beginning in your end,
Yesterday has departed so you bask in the ashes of its memories,
Fade into the crystal mirror young and strong,
You can now smell the pleasant lake with a youthful nose.

Poetry: Requiem
02.22.04 (7:04 am)   [edit]
I can see rainbows in your eyes,
They appear like a prism in your slight disguise,
You are the colour in rain, the devil's champagne,
In a faltering moment I try to refrain.

As I ponder on through an amorous day,
A thought comes of you and the joy you portray,
By the light of the moon I rejoice in your soft song,
A requiem for dark days that don't belong.

I descend into your quiet lament,
Through the beauty of nature that you represent,
In the embers of night and a sunset with crescent,
You emerge with velvet skin and an aura fluorescent.

With solace I rest in your salvation,
Venus is here, in your incarnation,
Beyond the horizon we set sail for the skyline,
Like day and night in harmony entwined.

Poetry: Euphony
02.22.04 (7:03 am)   [edit]
The memory comes like a warm breeze,
An open door appears and spring invites you in,
A stranger to its music it enlightens and massages you,
A female voice sings songs of freedom.

From afar you are greeted with melodic colours for your ears,
An eloquent touch from the sound spirals you into euphony,
The guitar talks our unsaid thoughts,
From the depths of a lilting parade.

A cello plays to a dreamscape and your heartbeat keeps it slow,
The stars appear by a waterfall, where we bathe by a five o clock sun,
Your eyes smile concurrent with the orchestra,
It is the conductor of our motions.

An organ blesses you and makes you loose with emotion,
Your face lights up in the birth of a season,
You hear the flowers rise; around a delicate rose,
The chorus is our world.

Poetry: Penitent Heart
02.22.04 (7:00 am)   [edit]
Beneath a shattering sky I stand but alone,
For reasons that God can merely condone,
Obscured is the moon with stars that are new,
In benevolent deeds I aspire to you.

Roses on a Sunday, the bell chimes at noon,
A haze near a grave, in the middle of June,
With hail on the stone the epitaph was etched,
In a garden of ghosts a chronicle was sketched.

A raven lurks lonesome amid dusk dancing trees,
It eaves drops on silence aside from the breeze,
Remote are the mountains; I gleam in the shade,
A penitent heart lured by their serenade.

Through golden gates I wallow then pray,
Transition of soul and an ode to this day,
On a dreamlike river to an enchanted sea,
Floats a vessel to angels and Gods divinity.

Lady in White

In the shadows of twilight, nightfall breaks through,
Closes the day and opens the room,
The jewel of morning, so far to be seen,
But a new one exists, in the tresses of dreams.

Through the curtain of eyelids I see the dew of dawn,
It cascades from the window in the spirit of morn,
She bears a diadem, my lady in white,
I drift to her charm and wane in the night.

An angel emerges from a path in the sky,
I see an old fable, in the warmth of her eyes,
Her wings soar towards me, in the colours of bliss,
A solitary heart for a perpetual kiss.

Profound is the light and your message of love,
I feel your sensation from the ocean above,
A celestial vision looms with the night,
'Till I beckon a call from the lady in white.
